Water Wells

Clean Water Well - Nouadhibou Region

In the arid coastal region of Nouadhibou, access to clean drinking water was a daily struggle for over three thousand residents. Institut Manga partnered with local engineers and community leaders to construct a solar-powered deep water well with a modern filtration system. The well now provides safe, reliable water to five surrounding villages, dramatically reducing waterborne illness and freeing women and children from hours of daily water collection.

Schools

New Primary School - Kiffa

The Kiffa Primary School project addressed a critical education gap in the Assaba region. Prior to our intervention, children walked over 8 kilometers to reach the nearest school, and many simply never attended. Institut Manga constructed a six-classroom school with an administrative office, a library, and clean sanitation facilities. We also provided school supplies and training for eight new teachers. Today, 480 children attend the school daily, and enrollment has risen 40% in the first semester alone.

Peace Initiatives

Sahel Peace Dialogue Initiative

The Sahel Peace Dialogue Initiative brings together tribal leaders, local government officials, youth representatives, and civil society organizations to foster reconciliation and prevent conflict escalation across border communities. Through facilitated dialogue sessions, conflict mediation training, and community reconciliation ceremonies, the initiative has successfully de-escalated three potential violent conflicts and established permanent dialogue committees in twelve communities. Over 15,000 people now live in safer, more stable conditions.

Humanitarian Aid

Food Security Program - Atar

The Atar Food Security Program combines emergency food distribution with long-term agricultural training to combat chronic malnutrition in the Adrar region. We distribute fortified food packages to 5,800 vulnerable individuals while simultaneously training 120 farmers in drought-resistant crop techniques, water-efficient irrigation, and sustainable land management. Early harvests from trained farmers have already shown a 60% yield increase, and child malnutrition rates have dropped 18% since program inception.
