Do I need to be based in Africa to volunteer?

Not at all. We have both in-person field roles and fully remote volunteer positions. Remote volunteers help with research, communications, translation, graphic design, web development, and more.

Is there a minimum time commitment?

It depends on the role. Field assignments typically require 3-6 months. Remote roles are more flexible — some volunteers contribute 5 hours per week, others take on larger projects.

Are expenses covered for field volunteers?

We provide accommodation and a modest living stipend for long-term field volunteers. Travel to the assignment location is typically covered for assignments over 6 months.

Can I volunteer as part of a university internship?

Yes, we regularly host interns from universities worldwide. We can provide supervision, evaluation reports, and documentation required by your academic program.
