Who We Are

Our Roots in Mauritania

Institut Manga was founded by a distinguished group of academics, civil society actors, and former political leaders united by a shared commitment to human rights, democratic development, and peaceful coexistence. Our team brings together expertise in law, political science, sociology, and international relations to address the most pressing challenges facing Mauritania and the wider Sahel region.

We work through seminars, conferences, specialized research, and the publication of educational tools to promote a culture of rights and democracy. Our methodology combines rigorous academic analysis with practical field intervention, ensuring that policy recommendations are grounded in the realities of the communities we serve.

The name "Manga" honors the spirit of wisdom and justice that guides our work. From our headquarters in Nouakchott, we actively participate in both national and international meetings, building partnerships with global institutions, regional bodies, and grassroots organizations to amplify our impact across Africa and beyond.

Our Mission

To build sustainable peace and development across Africa and the world through mediation, education, humanitarian assistance, research, and community-driven infrastructure projects. We work to empower marginalized communities, resolve conflicts through dialogue, and create lasting positive change that communities can maintain independently.

Our Vision

A peaceful, educated, and prosperous Africa where every community has access to clean water, quality education, stable governance, and the infrastructure needed to thrive. We envision a continent where conflict is resolved through dialogue, resources are shared equitably, and every child can attend school without fear or hardship.
